After having purchased and made my own Clone-A-Willy* with my boyfriend, I knew I wanted to try the Clone-A-Pussy kit at some point in time. Make a copy of my vulva, gaze at it lovingly, send it to my boyfriend as a present, y’know, the usual. So I reached out to the people at Clone A Willy who were great and agreed to send me a Clone-A-Pussy in exchange for my honest review. Thank you!

What do you mean "wrong type of pussy"?

What do you mean “wrong type of pussy”?

The Clone-A-Pussy comes in much the same style of packaging as the Clone-A-Willy. Simple plastic, the instructions are part of the packaging in form of a card pull out. Mine came crushed in one corner, which you can see in the pictures. This isn’t the fault of Clone A Willy, the box it arrived in was roughened up a fair amount from shipping. Nothing aside from the plastic was damaged, so all is well!

The kit includes rubber mold powder, two small tubs of silicone, wooden spatula and a black plastic scoop. All you need to bring to the pussy cloning party is a measuring cup, spoon (I use a metal fork), mixing bowl, water and a disposable container of some sort.

The instructions are simple, and unlike the Clone-A-Willy, don’t require you to be quite as meticulous about measurements and timing.

I was super pumped to try this. I am very much a fan of my vulva, I think it’s lovely and beautiful. To finally have the opportunity to be able to really look at it without awkward spread legs and a mirror was exciting and I couldn’t wait.

I read through the instructions a couple times to make sure I understood what to do. Although the time limit isn’t as short with this kit, you still don’t have a lot of time to get everything done. I set up my bathroom, I recommend doing this in a bathroom or anywhere cleanup is easy, as it does get messy. Seriously. I laid it all out next to our bath on the floor, grabbed a mirrored tile so I could observe, and a small foot step we have.

The instructions say hair shouldn’t matter, unless it’s long, in which case you should trim beforehand. I haven’t shaved in maybe a month, my pubic hair doesn’t grow super quickly so it was still relatively short. In the name of science, I shaved only one side, to see if it would make a difference. Spoiler alert: It didn’t.

I have rather full outer labia that cover the rest of my junk and I was worried that if I didn’t get a good angle that the clone would end up being a slit and nothing else. I experimented with how to hold it to get the best results.

After I had fleshed that out I started. I sat on the edge of the step, well, I squatted really. The recipe, if you will, calls for 2/3cup of lukewarm water. I’ve always found ‘lukewarm’ to be a frustrating thing to decipher, I never know whether it’s too hot or too cold. Thankfully for me, it gives a degree estimate and I still have the thermometer from my Clone-A-Willy kit.

I measured the water, poured it in my mixing bowl and added the powder. I didn’t cut a very big hole and it took longer than I would have liked to get out of the bag. If you’re using a decent sized bowl, don’t be afraid to cut a big hole to get it out easier. I grabbed my fork and mixed, I found that the fork worked much better than the wooden spoon I used with the other kit, and it’s easier to clean afterwards; the rubber dries and you can pull it off with ease, the wooden spoon never recovered.

You’re supposed to mix for a minute. I set a timer on my phone for a minute and started it before I poured the powder in. The mixture is ready when its about the consistency of lumpy pancake batter. I found the 40-50 seconds of forking to be adequate. Once it’s mixed, you pour it into the black scoop. Trying to keep it as parallel to the floor as possible, I placed it on my vulva. I needn’t have worried about shaving as it slipped right between my labia majora and my labia minora on the left, and did the same for the most part on the right.

The scoop was overflowing before I stuck my vulva in it, so it spilled everywhere when I actually did. Spillage is ok though, after all, you’re trying to create a cavity to which the silicone will fill to create the clone.

This is the worst part of the whole experience. It feels really odd and as it sets, I could feel it tighten in my vaginal opening. The runny goo was all over my hands which felt gross and got on my phone when I was hitting the timer. You also need to hold it there for 2-4 minutes until it’s gelled to hold the shape. If you have wrist or joint problems, avoid Clone-A-Pussy. You have to hold it tight to your body, it’s uncomfortable and can cause hand cramps. My wrists and arms are weak and I found that the next day my arms hurt from the pressure of holding it.

When I pulled it away, my pubic hair had grabbed on to some of the mold, which didn’t make a difference but I did look a bit silly with rubber dangling from my labia. At this point, looking at the mold, I was a bit worried that the silicone wouldn’t be thick enough in some parts.

For the silicone, you need a disposable container to mix it in. It’s sticky and just much easier if you don’t have to worry. I was right to be worried about it not being thick enough. When I poured it in, some bits were thin enough I could see the white of the mold, add to that the raised parts meant that some silicone was spilling out. I made some makeshift walls out of the packaging and hoped that would be good enough.

Were I to do it again, after the mold was done, I’d pull it out and trim some off the bottom. Just enough so that it wouldn’t overflow. If it were off centre again, this is where I’d add the extra walls, making it so that the space that didn’t need silicone didn’t hog silicone.

It takes about 24 hours to fully set before you can pull it out.

It turned out really well. There’s a lot of airbubbles, and looks different to what I usually see. The scoop pulled my clitoral hood back and spread things, but overall the detail is really good. Hair didn’t make any difference at all. Being able to see myself in this way is really cool.

I’m a bit disappointed at how thin it is at certain points, I’m trying to work out how I could remedy it. I thought about getting some PVA glue and pouring that on the thin parts until it sets, just so it isn’t as flimsy. I’m also thinking about putting it on a canvas and decorating around it. A shrine to my vulva.

Maybe having a little more silicone included, and instructions to leave some in case it’s too thin or something like that, would improve the potential outcomes. I’d also love to see some more colour options. Currently it only comes in light skin tone, dark skin tone and a chocolate version. I guess you could buy the silicone for the Clone-A-Willy, which comes in other colours, if you want something other than skin tones. The tubs are bigger too.

The great thing about this kit is that unlike Clone-A-Willy, the mold isn’t ruined when you pull the finished product out, so in theory you could probably make multiple clones. You can get extra silicone and mold powder on the Clone A Willy site, so if the first time isn’t successful, you can buy the main parts without paying for a whole new kit. I haven’t thrown out my initial mold yet, and it has shrunk in size. But I don’t see why you couldn’t make another mold directly after pulling the first silicone vulva out.

Like the Clone-A-Willy, it’s more for the novelty of doing it than for the finished product. If you don’t mind if it turns out kinda dodgy, your wrists aren’t weak and your skin isn’t overly sensitive**, I think Clone-A-Pussy could be a lot of fun for you.

Huge thanks to Clone A Willy for sending me a Clone-A-Pussy in exchange for my honest review!

* I’d suggest reading my Clone-A-Willy review first as I compare a lot of aspects of the two, although it’s not necessary.

** My skin isn’t sensitive, I had no issues with any irritation, but it may be if your skin is easily aggravated.
